Dante is geboren!

Ons zoontje Dante is geboren! Vanochtend om 6.08 uur, na een goede bevalling van vier uur. We voelen ons beide goed, Dante vindt drinken leuk en slaapt daarna lekker. Ik hoop op een goede nacht, die kan ik wel gebruiken.

Our son Dante is born! This morning at 6.08 hour, after a delivery which took 4 hours. We both feel well, Dante likes to drink and sleeps well after that. I'm hoping for a good night's rest, I sure can use it.

The wizard of Oz

Ik heb nu pagina 5 van The wizard of Oz af en ik ben het werkje nog lang niet zat. De kleuren zijn fantastisch en eigenlijk doet de foto niet echt recht aan het borduurwerk.
Ik ben nu begonnen met het gele pad, dus dat is een hele afwisseling in kleur. En het is zeker niet zo dat het pad saai is, want ook geel kun je in zo'n twintig variaties hebben!

I finished page 5 of The wizard of Oz and I still like this piece of work. The colours are amazing, the photo doesn't really do justice to this stitching.
I started the yellow brick road, so that's a big difference in colour. And please don't think this is boring stitching, because yellow has about twenty variations in colour!

Blok 18

Eindelijk de foto van de afghan, ik had hem al zo lang geleden beloofd, maar het kwam er steeds maar niet van om hem te maken. Dat komt ook omdat dit geen werkje is dat je zomaar op tafel legt om even een foto te maken. Daarvoor is het te groot. En op de vloer leggen en dan een foto maken, kan niet altijd vanwege onze hond en vooral zijn haren. Ik heb blok 18 nu dus af, dus het gaat heel voorspoedig!

Finally a photo of the afghan. I promised it a long time ago, but it wasn't easy to make a photo. It's too big to just lay on the table a photograph it. And lay it on the floor and make a picture then isn't always possible because of our dog and especially its hairs.
I finished block 18 now, so it's going really well!

Leap froggie hangt!

Leap froggie is nu ingelijst en het ziet er erg mooi uit. Ik heb een ogenblik getwijfeld over een roze lijst, maar dat is een beetje risicovol omdat we niet weten of we een jongetje of een meisje krijgen. Deze lijst is blauwgroen en het is ook erg mooi geworden.

Leap froggie has a frame now and it lookes great! For a moment I hesitated about a pink frame, but since we don't know whether we get a boy or a girl, this would be a bit risky. So it is blue-green and it very beautiful as well!

Amerin

We hebben er een buurmeisje bij en voor haar heb ik deze handdoek geborduurd. Ik heb veel met Color Variations gewerkt, omdat ik dat leuk spul vind. Daardoor is ook de egel een superstoere punk-egel, in plaats van de bruingrijze egel van het patroon. Dit is toch voor iedereen veel leuker?!

Our neighbours got a babygirl and for her I stitched this towel. I worked a lot with Color Variations, because I really like that. Because of that the hedgehog is a super tough punk hedgehog, instead of the browngrey hedgehog that was on the chart. Everybody likes this, don't they?

Winnie af!

Ik heb het ABC voor op de babykamer af en het hangt er ook al, zelf ingelijst. Ik haal het nog wel een keertje van de muur, want in de lijst en op de stof is er nog ruimte om ook nog de naam van de baby en de geboortedatum te borduren. Beide zijn nog een verrassing, dus dat komt na de geboorte dus een keer.
Ik vond dit erg eenvoudig om te borduren en ik ben blij dat ik nu meestal aan grotere dingen werk, want dit is véél te snel af!

Wizard of Oz

Gelijk vier berichten in één keer, ik borduur wel veel, maar ik kan me nauwelijks tot bloggen zetten, echt heel slecht... Ik heb ook nog een blok van de afghan af, maar ik kwam erachter dat ik vergeten was daarvan een foto te maken, dus die volgt nog.
The wizard of Oz is leuk borduren. Ik heb nu Blikken man en het kontje van de leeuw erop staan. Het gaat niet snel, maar dat geeft niet.

Four messages at once, I do stitch a lot, but I can hardly manage to blog, I'm really bad... I also stitched a block of the afghan, but I forgot to make a photo of it.
The wizard of Oz is fun to stitch. I have a part of Tinman now and the but of lion. It doesn't stitch quicky, but that doesn't matter.

Alfabet

Winnie the Pooh gaat ook best wel goed. Het gaat erg snel, ik borduur er 's middags regelmatig aan. Ik wil het in de komende twee weken eigenlijk wel afmaken, want ik wil de babykamer afhebben als ik 36 weken zwanger ben.

Winnie the Pooh is going well. It stitches really fast, I stitch on it on afternoons regularly. I'd like to finish it within the next two weeks, because I want to finish the baby room when I'm 36 weeks pregnant.

Waterlily

Bijna de tweede bladzijde van Waterlily Mermaid af, maar twee kleuren waren op. Ik had ze besteld, maar pas vanochtend kwamen ze met de post, ruim drie weken na bestelling! Het wordt erg mooi, maar eigenlijk vind ik het werkje wat te klein, in het totaal maar vier pagina's.

I almost finished the second page of Waterlily Mermaid, but I was short of two colours. I ordered them, but only this morning they arrived by mail, over three weeks after ordering! It's becoming beautiful, but to be honest, I think this work is a bit small with only four pages.

Impossible love, pagina 2

En weer binnen een week een tweede pagina voor Impossible love geborduurd. Vergeleken met The wizard of Oz is dit best wel eenvoudig, weinig kleurwisselingen. Ik kijk er wel naar uit als ik even wat anders dan lucht krijg, maar de wolken zijn wel heel mooi en helemaal rechts op het plaatje ben ik al bij de vleugels van de engel.
Mooie kleuren, he!

And within a week I stitched the second page of Impossible love. Compared to The wizard of Oz this is quite simple, only little colour changes. I'm looking forward to something else than sky, but of course the clouds are beautiful as well. At the right of the picture I can stitch the wings of the angels. I love the colours, don't you?
